This winter scene is one of four duplicate watercolor miniatures painted in 1993 for the annual family Christmas card. I like to think that the artist shown is Dad imagining himself in the scene.

The bridge over the channel at West Lake of the Isles Ave. is often called Minneapolis Motif Number one for Mpls. Artists. This painting is painted from a wintertime snapshot in studio. I don't own a French easel.
