The Roadway with two houses over the hill was copied from a larger painting we have in our living room. I painted the original in Fairmont in 1948, six months after Mary and I were married. I sat in our brand new Mercury business coupe with heater installed. This is one of four replicas, and looks very much like the work of Edward Hopper.
