Every year Jennifer and Laci send us a big calendar with large photographs of scenes from Norway. When I do a watercolor of a scene I have to reduce, crop and push things together. And so these are not exact copies. However the scene is recognizable. This one is looking across at a fishing village on Lofoten Islands near the Arctic Circle. Jennifer was an engine watcher farther north at Hammerfest, which gives us a connection to that region.
